The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 217 regencies/cities had a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, which currently stands at 12.34 percent (data as of Saturday, November 5, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 54.05 percent are Bolaang Mongondow Selatan (78.57 percent), Toli Toli (74.47 percent), Halmahera Utara (67.5 percent), Tojo Una Una (66.67 percent), and Morowali Utara (54.05 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 173 regencies/cities, while 128 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Bolaang Mongondow Selatan (78.57 percent), Toli Toli (74.47 percent), and Halmahera Utara (67.5 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
