Average Years of Schooling in Mahakam Hulu Rises to 8.71 Years

The average years of schooling (RLS) of residents aged 25 and over in Mahakam Hulu, East Kalimantan was 8.71 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of residents in this area was below the East Kalimantan provincial average of 10.1 years in 2025.

Mahakam Hulu's resident RLS increased by 0.21 years (2.47%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.5 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, this RLS has increased by 0.74 years (9.28%).

This RLS indicates that the average Mahakam Hulu resident only attended school up to the 8th grade level. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
