The occupancy rate of star-rated hotels (TPK) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province was 26.25% in July 2021. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), this figure decreased by 13.67% from the previous month, which was 39.92%. Compared to July 2020, the TPK of star-rated hotels increased by 3.97%, with a TPK of 22.28%.
Based on the star rating class of hotels, the highest TPK was achieved by 2-star hotels with a percentage of 52.42%. 3-star hotels followed in third place with a percentage of 31.19%. Meanwhile, the TPK for 4-star and 5-star hotels were 18.33% and 10.78%, respectively.
The number of guests staying in star-rated hotels in July 2021 was recorded at 21,653 people. This number consisted of 21,199 domestic tourists (97.9%) and only 454 foreign tourists (2.1%). 4-star hotels were the most popular choice for tourists staying in NTB, accounting for 51.18%.
In July 2021, the average length of stay for guests at hotels was 2.59 days. This means that the average length of stay in July 2021 increased by 0.2 days compared to the previous month, which was 2.39 days.
The average length of stay at 2-star hotels was the longest compared to other star-rated hotels, reaching 4.29 days. Meanwhile, the shortest average length of stay was at 4-star hotels, at 1.76 days.
