The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.09 percent. This average is higher than last week's 4.06 percent, based on data from Sunday, August 28, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 40.34 percent are Sorong, Luwu Utara, Banjar, Payakumbuh City, and Tanah Bumbu, with values of 60.53 percent, 52 percent, 44.42 percent, 40.6 percent, and 40.34 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 70 regencies/cities, while 70 other regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Sorong, Luwu Utara, and Banjar, with BORs of 60.53 percent, 52 percent, and 44.42 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
