The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 146 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.12 percent (data as of Monday, August 8, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 22.88 percent are Barito Selatan (42.5 percent), Pulang Pisau (32.76 percent), Kapuas (29.6 percent), Barito Timur (23.86 percent), and Banjar (22.88 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 126 districts/cities, while 103 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Barito Selatan (42.5 percent), Pulang Pisau (32.76 percent), and Kapuas (29.6 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
