The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 205 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.9 percent (data as of Friday, October 14, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 31.58 percent are Toli Toli, Kepulauan Sangihe, Halmahera Utara, Konawe Kepulauan, and Banggai Kepulauan, with respective values of 48.48 percent, 41.38 percent, 35.71 percent, 33.33 percent, and 31.58 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 131 districts/cities, while 130 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Toli Toli, Kepulauan Sangihe, and Halmahera Utara, with respective seven-day positivity rates of 48.48 percent, 41.38 percent, and 35.71 percent.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
