The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 47 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 2.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banjar, Magelang City, Palangkaraya City, Tangerang, and Bekasi City, with respective values of 4.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 17 regencies/cities, while 10 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banjar, Palangkaraya City, and Banjarbaru City, with inpatient use of 4.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.5 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
