The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 35 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.26 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
Inpatient utilization in the top five districts/cities with figures exceeding 0.73 patients per 100,000 population/week are Bangka, Banjar City, Magelang City, Pulang Pisau, and West Sumba, with respective values of 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.77 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization rate was recorded in 13 districts/cities.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Bangka, Pulang Pisau, and West Sumba, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.77 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
