The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 98 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, October 31, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 8.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, Palu City, and Tegal City, with respective values of 16.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in 51 districts/cities, while 27 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, and Palu City, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 13.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.89 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
