Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Thursday, November 3, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 157 districts/cities with a weekly Covid-19 positive confirmation rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.81 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, November 3, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with positive confirmation rates exceeding 30.95 per 100,000 population/week are Balikpapan City, South Tangerang City, Depok City, East Jakarta City, and Bogor City, with respective rates of 72.29, 30.95, 30.95, 30.95, and 30.95 per 100,000 population/week.

The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in positive confirmations in most districts/cities outside Java. 135 districts/cities recorded higher daily positive confirmations than before, while 64 districts/cities recorded lower positive confirmations.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest positive confirmation rates include Balikpapan City, North Penajam Paser, and North Toraja, with respective rates of 72.29, 28.11, and 26.36 per 100,000 population/week.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
