The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 68 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, October 3, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Kediri City, Mojokerto City, Banda Aceh City, and Tegal City, with respective values of 8.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.19 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.57 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week.
The national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than previously recorded was observed in 32 districts/cities, while 26 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Banda Aceh City, and Sabang City, with respective inpatient use of 8.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.7 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
