The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least three regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 8.39 percent. This is down from last week's 9.39 percent, based on data from Monday, December 5, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 55.71 percent are Fakfak, East Belitung, Tapin, Tasikmalaya, and North Musi Rawas, with values of 100 percent, 68.18 percent, 67.86 percent, 57.14 percent, and 55.71 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 62 regencies/cities, while 151 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, East Belitung, and Tapin, with BORs of 100 percent, 68.18 percent, and 67.86 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
