The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 132 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.33 percent (data as of Tuesday, March 21, 2023).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 20 percent are Morowali (41.67 percent), Mamberamo Tengah (33.33 percent), Toli Toli (27.27 percent), Tojo Una Una (20 percent), and Banggai Kepulauan (20 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. Sixty-eight regencies/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 24 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Morowali (41.67 percent), Mamberamo Tengah (33.33 percent), and Toli Toli (27.27 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
