The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 192 regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 6.47 percent (data as of Saturday, October 22, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 44.44 percent are Kayong Utara, Halmahera Utara, Pahuwato, Toli Toli, and Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, with values of 66.67 percent, 52.17 percent, 51.61 percent, 50 percent, and 44.44 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 166 regencies/cities, while 117 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kayong Utara, Halmahera Utara, and Pahuwato, with seven-day positivity rates of 66.67 percent, 52.17 percent, and 51.61 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
