The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 200 regencies/cities had a seven-day agglomeration positivity rate above the national average, which currently stands at 6.61 percent (data as of Sunday, October 23, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 50 percent are North Halmahera, Pahuwato, Toli Toli, Banggai Laut, and Kayong Utara, with values of 56.67 percent, 55.17 percent, 52.08 percent, 50 percent, and 50 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 140 regencies/cities, while 112 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include North Halmahera, Pahuwato, and Toli Toli, with seven-day positivity rates of 56.67 percent, 55.17 percent, and 52.08 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
