Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Tuesday, March 14, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 22 regencies/cities have weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.45 percent as of Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 20 percent are Surabaya City (28.33 percent), West Jakarta City (21.63 percent), East Jakarta City (20.03 percent), Pasuruan City (20 percent), and Tangerang City (20 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing rates in most regencies/cities outside of Java. Two regencies/cities recorded higher daily tracing rates than before.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Balikpapan City (16 percent), Kubu Raya (4 percent), and Makassar City (4 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
