The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 63 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, September 18, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 8.55 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banda Aceh City, Kepulauan Seribu, Mojokerto City, Central Jakarta City, and Sabang City, with values of 12.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.52 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.55 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than previously recorded was noted in 27 regencies/cities, while 22 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Sabang City, and Manado City, with inpatient use of 12.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.55 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
