The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 123 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.87 percent (data as of Wednesday, March 8, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 16.13 percent are Purworejo, Temanggung, Purbalingga, Kebumen, and Bangka Selatan, with values of 33.33 percent, 23.08 percent, 17.39 percent, 16.67 percent, and 16.13 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. 42 districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 35 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Bangka Selatan, Tana Tidung, and Aceh Selatan, with seven-day positivity rates of 16.13 percent, 14.29 percent, and 10 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
