The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 144 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 2.35 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Friday, September 23, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 17.85 per 100,000 population/week are Teluk Bintuni, Balikpapan City, Fakfak, Bekasi, and Bogor, with values of 23.14, 21.52, 19.39, 17.85, and 17.85 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 73 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 87 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Teluk Bintuni, Balikpapan City, and Fakfak, with confirmed positive cases of 23.14, 21.52, and 19.39 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
