Active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia were recorded at 5,363 as of Wednesday, December 8, 2021. This figure is equivalent to 0.12% of the total corona cases in the country.
Based on Worldometer data, the number of active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia ranks seventh in Southeast Asia. Indonesia's position is flanked by Singapore and Myanmar with active cases of 7,775 and 4,726, respectively.
Meanwhile, Vietnam holds the top position in Southeast Asia with 288,799 active cases of people infected with the corona virus. Laos is in second place with 75,733 active Covid-19 cases.
In third place, Malaysia recorded 60,878 active Covid-19 cases. This is followed by active corona cases in Thailand and the Philippines, at 60,417 and 12,510, respectively.
Cambodia has 674 active Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, active corona virus cases in Brunei Darussalam and Timor Leste are 118 and 5, respectively.
Although the number of active cases in Indonesia has decreased, the public must remain vigilant against the spread of the virus. The public must continue to strive to prevent the spread of corona by implementing the 3M health protocol.
This protocol consists of wearing a mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to reduce mobility and avoid crowds.
