Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Sunday, March 5, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that there are 23 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, which is currently recorded at 0.52 percent as of Sunday, March 5, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 18.97 percent are Surabaya City, Tasikmalaya City, Malang City, West Jakarta City, and East Jakarta City, with respective values of 28.33 percent, 22 percent, 21 percent, 19.5 percent, and 18.97 percent.

A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily tracing rate higher than before was recorded in one regency/city.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Balikpapan City, Jambi City, and Tarakan City, with tracing rates of 16 percent, 15 percent, and 1.67 percent, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
