The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 73 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.87 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 10.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Mojokerto City, Kediri City, Yogyakarta City, Toli Toli, and Central Jakarta City, with respective values of 20.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 19.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 10.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than previously recorded was observed in 38 regencies/cities, while 29 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Toli Toli, Palu City, and Banda Aceh City, with inpatient use of 11.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.63 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
