Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Tuesday, November 1, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 143 districts/cities with a weekly number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 4.31 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Tuesday, November 1, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 52.31 per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, Balikpapan, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta, with respective values of 71.79, 64.95, 64.55, 59.57, and 52.31 per 100,000 population/week.

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 127 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 72 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.

Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Balikpapan, Penajam Paser Utara, and North Toraja, with confirmed positive cases of 64.55, 24.98, and 22.17 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
