The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 297 regencies/cities with complete vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 74.57 percent as of Friday, July 8, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with complete vaccination rates exceeding 141.41 percent are Yogyakarta City, Central Jakarta City, Denpasar City, South Jakarta City, and Magelang City, with values of 215.43 percent, 203.48 percent, 155.4 percent, 154.1 percent, and 141.41 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in complete vaccination coverage in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in complete vaccination rates was recorded in 196 regencies/cities, while 126 regencies/cities recorded lower complete vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest complete vaccination rates include Denpasar City, Padang Panjang City, and Badung Regency, with complete vaccination rates of 155.4 percent, 131.15 percent, and 123.06 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
