The top five districts/cities with Covid-19 death rates exceeding 0.33 per 100,000 population per week are Kulon Progo (0.44 per 100,000 population per week), Tarakan City (0.37 per 100,000 population per week), Jembrana (0.35 per 100,000 population per week), Malang City (0.34 per 100,000 population per week), and Palangkaraya City (0.33 per 100,000 population per week).
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. One district/city recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously, while another recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Tarakan City (0.37 per 100,000 population per week), Jembrana (0.35 per 100,000 population per week), and Palangkaraya City (0.33 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
