The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 43 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.55 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, March 31, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Blitar City, Gunungkidul, Bantul, Kulon Progo, and Sleman, each with 2.75, 1.84, 1.84, 1.84, and 1.84 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Twelve regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than before, while four regencies/cities showed lower utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Tarakan City, Bangka, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.47, 1.16, and 1 patient per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
