COVID-19 Referral Hospital Bed Occupancy in Bali is the Highest Nationally

The bed occupancy ratio (BOR) of Covid-19 referral hospitals in Bali was the highest among other provinces in Indonesia, reaching 75.55% until Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

The next three provinces had a BOR of around 60%, namely East Kalimantan (64.4%), Central Sulawesi (63.57%), and South Kalimantan (63.44%). Meanwhile, the bed occupancy rate in Covid-19 referral hospitals in the other 23 provinces was in the range of 30-59%.

Meanwhile, seven provinces currently have a low BOR. West Java, Banten, and West Nusa Tenggara are around 27%, while Jakarta and Riau Islands are around 25%. West Papua and Maluku had the lowest, at 18.94% and 14.95%, respectively.

The national average bed occupancy rate in Covid-19 referral hospitals was 44.05% during the same period.

Although the BOR is no longer exceeding 80%, the public must remain vigilant against the spread of the coronavirus. Wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap (3M) are effective in preventing the risk of infection.
