The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 182 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.46 percent (data as of Thursday, September 22, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 30 percent are Banggai Laut (47.06 percent), Aceh Barat Daya (33.33 percent), Sigi (32.65 percent), Toli Toli (31.91 percent), and Aceh Selatan (30 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 122 districts/cities, while 141 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Laut (47.06 percent), Aceh Barat Daya (33.33 percent), and Sigi (32.65 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
