The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 157 districts/cities with a weekly Covid-19 positive confirmation rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.27 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, February 8, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with positive confirmation rates exceeding 1.96 per 100,000 population/week are Kupang City, Musi Rawas Utara, North Jakarta City, South Tangerang City, and Depok City, with respective values of 2.91, 1.99, 1.96, 1.96, and 1.96 per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in positive confirmations in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily positive confirmations higher than previous figures were recorded in 25 districts/cities, while 24 districts/cities recorded lower positive confirmations.
Areas outside Java with the highest positive confirmation rates include Kupang City, Musi Rawas Utara, and Raja Ampat, with positive confirmations of 2.91, 1.99, and 1.96 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
