Southeast Asia Strategic Research Institute released research findings on the most top-of-mind online food delivery services.

The results show that GoFood is the top-of-mind online food delivery (OFD) platform. A recorded 50% of respondents chose GoFood as their preferred food delivery platform.

Furthermore, GoFood is also the most downloaded food delivery platform, with 76% of consumers having downloaded the app. Consumers rated GoFood highest for its diverse menu, convenience, and secure transactions.

According to the research, GoFood is more widely owned and used by Indonesian consumers, even though consumers also have other OFD applications. GoFood also recorded the highest transaction value at Rp 30.65 trillion.

Meanwhile, ShopeeFood came in second. 28% of respondents identified ShopeeFood as their top-of-mind OFD platform. Consumers considered ShopeeFood to offer the most promotions.

GrabFood, however, was less popular than GoFood and ShopeeFood. Only 22% of respondents considered GrabFood their top-of-mind OFD platform.

This research was conducted from June 10-14, 2022, using face-to-face interviews. The research involved 1,200 respondents spread across six cities, with a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of approximately 2.8%.
