The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 182 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.79 percent (data as of Tuesday, October 4, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 33.33 percent are Banggai Laut, Aceh Barat, Banggai Kepulauan, Nagan Raya, and Sitaro, with values of 46.15 percent, 42.86 percent, 42.86 percent, 33.33 percent, and 33.33 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 154 districts/cities, while 111 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Laut, Aceh Barat, and Banggai Kepulauan, with seven-day positivity rates of 46.15 percent, 42.86 percent, and 42.86 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
