Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Thursday, March 16, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 117 districts/cities with a weekly Covid-19 positive confirmation rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.3 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, March 16, 2023).

The top five districts/cities with rates exceeding 3.74 per 100,000 population/week are Mamberamo Raya, Bekasi Regency, Bogor City, Bekasi City, and Depok City, each with 3.9, 3.74, 3.74, 3.74, and 3.74 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in positive confirmations in most districts/cities outside Java. Fourteen districts/cities recorded higher daily positive confirmations than before, while 17 districts/cities recorded lower positive confirmations.

Areas outside Java with the highest positive confirmation rates include Mamberamo Raya, Sabang City, and Teluk Bintuni, with 3.9, 2.83, and 2.83 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
