The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 281 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 60.99 percent as of Monday, January 30, 2023, based on KTP (identity card) data.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 111.75 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Cirebon, and Sukabumi, with respective rates of 124.13 percent, 121.2 percent, 115.84 percent, 115.83 percent, and 111.75 percent.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 122 regencies/cities, while three regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Bener Meriah, with elderly vaccination rates of 124.13 percent, 115.84 percent, and 109.71 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
