The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 281 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage based on KTP (identity card) data above the national average, currently recorded at 61.03 percent as of Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 111.97 percent are Solok City, Garut, Cirebon, Aceh Singkil, and Sukabumi, with respective values of 124.05 percent, 120.38 percent, 116.38 percent, 115.63 percent, and 111.97 percent.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than the previous day were recorded in 186 regencies/cities, while 200 regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Bener Meriah, with elderly vaccination rates of 124.05 percent, 115.63 percent, and 110.4 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
