Average Years of Schooling in Tanah Bumbu Regency Remains Below the National Average

The average years of schooling (AYS) for residents aged 25 and over in Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, reached 8.3 years in 2023.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the AYS for residents in this region is below the average for South Kalimantan Province, which reached 8.55 years in 2023.

The AYS for Tanah Bumbu residents increased by 0.05 years (0.61%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.25 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the AYS has increased by 0.6 years (7.79%).

This AYS indicates that the average Tanah Bumbu resident only attends school up to the eighth grade. However, this AYS is still below the national average of 8.77 years in 2023.
