The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 47 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week are Palangkaraya City, Magelang City, Gianyar, Badung, and Tabanan, with values of 9.13 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 28 regencies/cities, while eight regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Gianyar, and Badung, with inpatient utilization rates of 9.13 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
