The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 151 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 2.23 percent (data as of Sunday, July 31, 2022).
The five districts/cities with the highest seven-day positivity rates, exceeding 15.26 percent, are Kapuas (22.51 percent), North Gorontalo (16.95 percent), Banjarmasin City (15.28 percent), East Jakarta City (15.26 percent), and South Jakarta City (15.26 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in the daily seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 166 districts/cities, while 56 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kapuas (22.51 percent), North Gorontalo (16.95 percent), and Banjarmasin City (15.28 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
