The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 55 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 9.09 patients per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Palangkaraya City, Bangli, Klungkung, and South Jakarta, with respective values of 18.5 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.09 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than previously recorded was noted in 22 regencies/cities, while 21 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Palangkaraya City, Bangli, and Klungkung, with inpatient use of 12.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
