What is the electricity production of the Cirata PLTS during the rainy and dry seasons?

Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant (PLTS) is Indonesia's first floating solar power plant and is projected to become the largest in Southeast Asia.

According to International Energy Agency (IEA) test results, on the cloudiest day during the rainy season, the Cirata PLTS test panel was able to generate approximately 2,460 kilowatts (KW) or 2.46 megawatts (MW) of solar power per day, with peak productivity between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

On the clearest day during the dry season, the Cirata PLTS test panel could generate approximately 4,350 KW or 4.35 MW of electricity per day, with peak productivity between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

Currently, the Cirata PLTS is under construction and is targeted for completion in November 2022. The construction of this PLTS is a joint program between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates, with a total investment cost of US$129 million or approximately Rp1.8 trillion.

The construction of the Cirata PLTS is handled by Masdar, a renewable energy company based in Abu Dhabi, together with PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Investasi (PJBI), headquartered in Jakarta.
