The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 25 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Inpatient use in the top five districts/cities, with figures exceeding 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Tana Tidung, Cimahi City, South Bangka, Central Jakarta City, and West Bangka, with respective values of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use figures higher than before were recorded in three districts/cities, while two districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Tana Tidung, South Bangka, and West Bangka, with inpatient use of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.86 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
