Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Wednesday, July 13, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 regencies/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently at 1.34 percent (data as of Wednesday, July 13, 2022).

The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 18.74 percent, are Manggarai Timur, Payakumbuh City, Balangan, West Jakarta City, and Central Jakarta City, with values of 37.5 percent, 30.95 percent, 23.08 percent, 22.35 percent, and 18.74 percent respectively.

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 45 regencies/cities, while 34 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Manggarai Timur, Payakumbuh City, and Balangan, with BORs of 37.5 percent, 30.95 percent, and 23.08 percent respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
