The top five districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate exceeding 0.15 deaths per 100,000 population per week are Karimun, Klaten, Ngawi, Magelang, and Balikpapan City, with respective rates of 0.41, 0.25, 0.24, 0.15, and 0.15 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. One district/city recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than previously.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Karimun, Balikpapan City, and Ketapang, with respective rates of 0.41, 0.15, and 0 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
