The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 143 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 7.19 per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 60.04 per 100,000 population/week are Tana Tidung, Bogor, South Tangerang City, West Jakarta City, and Kepulauan Seribu, each with values of 84.62 per 100,000 population/week, 60.04 per 100,000 population/week, 60.04 per 100,000 population/week, 60.04 per 100,000 population/week, and 60.04 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 121 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 110 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Tana Tidung, Kutai Barat, and Balikpapan City, with confirmed positive cases of 84.62 per 100,000 population/week, 59.67 per 100,000 population/week, and 41.02 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
