The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least three regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.63 percent. This is an increase compared to last week's figure of 3.95 percent (data as of Friday, October 21, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 38.78 percent, are Fakfak (100 percent), Majene (78.57 percent), Gorontalo (78.26 percent), Toli Toli (46.43 percent), and Rokan Hilir (38.78 percent).
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside of Java. 78 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 73 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak (100 percent), Majene (78.57 percent), and Gorontalo (78.26 percent).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
