The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 195 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.34 percent (data as of Friday, September 2, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 21.05 percent are Tomohon City, Gunung Mas, Tegal City, Pidie Jaya, and Sitaro, with values of 38.35 percent, 26.83 percent, 26.7 percent, 25 percent, and 21.05 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 128 districts/cities, while 124 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Gunung Mas, and Pidie Jaya, with seven-day positivity rates of 38.35 percent, 26.83 percent, and 25 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
