The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 91 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, September 17, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 5.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banda Aceh City, Manado City, Kediri City, Madiun City, and Palu City, with respective values of 13.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.99 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.61 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Nine districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, while 44 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Banda Aceh City, Manado City, and Palu City, with inpatient utilization rates of 13.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.99 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
