The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 141 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 6.3 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, November 9, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 45.85 per 100,000 population/week are Balikpapan City, Kutai Barat, Tangerang City, Depok City, and Bekasi City, with respective values of 67.8 per 100,000 population/week, 46.41 per 100,000 population/week, 45.85 per 100,000 population/week, 45.85 per 100,000 population/week, and 45.85 per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in daily confirmed positive cases compared to previous figures was recorded in 112 districts/cities, while 91 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Balikpapan City, Kutai Barat, and Bontang City, with confirmed positive cases of 67.8 per 100,000 population/week, 46.41 per 100,000 population/week, and 44.21 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
