Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Wednesday, May 18, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 90 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 2.39 percent as of Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

The five top regencies/cities with figures exceeding 26 percent are Cianjur, Banyuwangi, Semarang City, Demak, and Magetan, with values of 30 percent, 30 percent, 26.6 percent, 26.6 percent, and 26 percent respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in four regencies/cities, while 10 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing figures.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include East Lombok, Karimun, and Simalungun, with tracing figures of 26 percent, 20 percent, and 19.25 percent respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
