The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least three regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 7.54 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 9.35 percent (data as of Friday, December 9, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 52.38 percent, are Fakfak, East Belitung, Tapin, Batang, and Tasikmalaya, with values of 100 percent, 75 percent, 60.71 percent, 54.26 percent, and 52.38 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 59 regencies/cities, while 114 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, East Belitung, and Tapin, with BORs of 100 percent, 75 percent, and 60.71 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
