The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 70 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 6.34 patients per 100,000 population/week are Toli Toli, Kediri City, Palu City, Magelang City, and Tomohon City, with values of 11.21, 8.88, 7.41, 6.56, and 6.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 29 regencies/cities, while 27 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Toli Toli, Palu City, and Tomohon City, with inpatient utilization rates of 11.21, 7.41, and 6.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
